1B is designed to continue German 1A. All four skills will be taught - reading - writing - listening comprehension - and conversations. The focus will be on reading, writing, and listening.
There will be singing and some poetry. It's an excellent way to learn a language. Once we memorize a song or a poem, patterns will be established and we therefore will avoid the whole thinking process about the rules, which govern any given language.
30% | homework, participation, written/oral quizzes |
30% | songs/poems |
40% | final |
bonus | Tagebuch |
Class asignments should be completed promptly. Language learning is cumulative. Therefore the student's performance towards the end of the semester will count more. If you must miss a class, please obtain your homework. Practice your homework every day! Practice several times per day for short periods. Always and always - every week review the articles!
In 1B we will study Chapters 4, 5, 6, & 7.
By the end of the semester you will be able to read simple texts, scan for general info, comprehend main ideas, listen & comprehend select texts, write some mini stories and dialogues.
Ich wünsche Ihnen. allen ein erfolgreiches semester und viel Spaß und alles Gute!
